Diagnostics and electrical
Diagnostics that tell you what is actually wrong, not just what code it threw
Computer diagnostics, dashboard warning light interpretation, and electrical repairs from a battery swap to a full computer replacement. We stock Interstate Batteries and back the work with a free 12-month, 12,000-mile nationwide warranty.
Chapter 01
A code is a symptom, not a diagnosis
When a dashboard warning light comes on, the car's computer has stored a code, and that code points at a system, not necessarily a part. Reading the code and swapping whatever it names is how people end up paying twice, once for a part that was never the problem and again for the actual repair.
Proper repairs begin with a complete understanding of the problem before anything gets replaced. Our computer diagnostics pull the stored code and the live data behind it, sensor readings, fuel trim, voltage, so the repair goes to the actual cause the first time.

Reading the whole electrical system, not just the battery terminal
A weak battery, a failing alternator, and a bad ground strap can all show up looking almost identical: dim lights, a slow crank, electronics acting strange. Chasing the wrong one wastes a customer's time and money, which is why a full electrical system analysis looks at the whole circuit rather than stopping at the first suspicious terminal.
We handle electrical repairs from a battery swap to a full computer replacement, and we will tell you plainly what your dashboard lights actually mean before you decide what to do about them.
Chapter 03
Why we stock Interstate Batteries
We have learned that the key to a dependable electrical system is a good battery. That is why we stock Interstate Batteries in the shop rather than sourcing whatever is cheapest for that day's job, so a battery replacement is sized correctly and installed the same visit.
A battery gets tested before it gets replaced, since a battery that reads weak under load is not always the actual cause of a starting problem. Sometimes it is the battery, sometimes it is the connection to it.
What you get told before any work starts
This shop has run since 1995 on the idea that you tell a customer what you found before you touch anything, including when the finding is that nothing needs fixing. That habit does not change for electrical work just because the diagnosis takes specialized equipment to run.
If the diagnostics point to a real fault, you will hear what it is, what it takes to fix it, and why. If they do not, you will hear that too, and every repair we do carries the same free 12-month, 12,000-mile nationwide warranty either way.
